What major trend do you anticipate shaping your industry in 2024?

As a publicly traded cyber resilience company, we anticipate an even greater focus on enhanced AI-powered cyber and data security protection solutions to protect the integrity and governance of data in the cloud, on-premises, or in hybrid environments. We could also see advancements in data encryption, privacy protection, and proactive defense mechanisms against evolving cyber threats.

How will the sustainability and decarbonization landscape evolve over the next couple of years?

Sustainability and decarbonization must rapidly evolve in the next few years, driven by climate urgency, technological advancements, and policy shifts. I hope and expect increased focus on net-zero targets, renewable energy, carbon capture, and nature-based solutions.

How do you personally plan to positively impact the environment?

I believe if we all take our own little steps, they will all add up to massive change.

  1. Promote sustainable data management: Develop features and tools that help customers reduce their data footprint.

  2. Green IT: We can implement green IT practices throughout our operations, such as using energy-efficient hardware, cloud computing solutions, and data center virtualization.

  3. Sustainable commuting: We encourage our employees to use sustainable commuting options like public transportation, cycling, walking, or remote working when possible. In India where we have over 1,000 employees, we have launched a transportation booking system so employees can share rides to and from our offices. The goal is simple: reduce our carbon footprint by reducing cars on the road. If you’ve ever driven in India, you know this is a terrific option!

  4. Resource conservation: We reduce our use of paper, water, and other resources through various initiatives like reducing office space globally, water-saving measures, and responsible waste management.

  5. Research the viability of renewable energy alternatives: Can we or our partners invest in energy-efficient servers and renewable energy sources to power operations? Is there an ability to implement AI-driven cooling and energy management tools to reduce energy consumption?

  6. Education and Awareness: Lead campaigns to educate stakeholders on data protection and environmental responsibility.

  7. Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to environmental regulations and strive to lead where possible.
